Analytics V2 overview — Advertising and Store & Business views
Analytics V2 is the current version of Wevion's
/analyticspage. It replaces the legacy widget-grid dashboard with two purpose-built views — Advertising (paid-performance metrics attributed by each ad platform) and Store & Business (blended, MER-centric metrics that combine your store revenue with ad spend). Both views share one controls bar (mode toggle, store selector, platform + account cascade, edit mode, date range with period comparison, and export) and a configurable KPI grid. It is enabled byANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED, which is on by default; settingVITE_ANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED=falsefalls back to the legacy analytics page.
Who is this for
Mediabuyers running weekly and monthly performance reviews, e-commerce operators tracking real return on ad spend (MER, CPO), and admins auditing account and store health. Anyone who needs aggregated trend and KPI data rather than row-level edits (those live in Ads Manager).
Before you start
- A connected, synced ad account: the Advertising view reads from your connected platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, Taboola, Snapchat, Outbrain). Connect and sync at least one first (meta-101 connect Meta, gog-101 connect Google Ads).
- A connected store (for Store & Business): MER, CPO, AOV, refunds, and the funnel combine Shopify store data with ad spend, so the Store & Business view needs a connected store.
- Currency and timezone preferences: figures are converted and bucketed to the currency and timezone you set; leave them on "account" to keep each account's native values.
- Data latency: numbers reflect your last platform sync, and the "compare to previous period" delta needs a prior period that already has data.
- Access: Analytics V2 is on by default, so
/analyticsopens straight into the two views — there is nothing to enable.
The two views
Analytics V2 opens on a single page and you switch between two views with the mode toggle pill at the top left.
The Advertising view is detailed in Advertising view — paid-performance charts, account table; the Store & Business view in Store & Business view — MER, CPO and the site funnel.
The controls bar
Every view shares the same header controls:
- Mode toggle — Advertising ⇄ Store & Business.
- Store selector — shown only in Store & Business; defaults to "All stores" (team-wide aggregate). See Store & Business view — MER, CPO and the site funnel.
- Platform + account cascade — pick platforms and ad accounts, with search; staged and applied on "Apply" (Platform and account selector — scope your analytics).
- Edit mode — the Edit button turns the KPI grid editable (add/remove KPIs, then Save layout or Cancel).
- Date range + comparison — the date picker with quick periods (last 7/14/30/90 days, this week/month, last month, YTD) and a "compare to previous period" toggle that adds a delta to each KPI.
- Export — downloads the active view's daily data as CSV or Excel (Export CSV / Excel from Analytics V2).
The configurable KPI grid
Below the controls, each view renders a 4-column KPI grid. Each card shows the metric label, an info tooltip explaining the formula and data source, the value, and — when comparison is on — a delta versus the previous period. In edit mode you can remove cards or open the KPI picker to add extras from that view's KPI catalogue. See KPI grid and KPI picker — customize your metrics.
Currency and timezone
Both views respect your currency and timezone preferences. When set to a specific currency or timezone (rather than "account"), the value is passed to the metrics queries so figures are converted and bucketed accordingly. Store & Business KPIs like MER and CPO combine store revenue with converted ad spend for a consistent comparison.

How V2 differs from the legacy analytics
How to use Analytics V2
- Open /analytics from the Analytics entry in the sidebar.
- Pick a view with the mode toggle — Advertising for platform-attributed metrics, Store & Business for blended MER-centric metrics.
- Open the platform + account cascade, choose platforms and accounts, and click Apply to commit — figures refresh only after Apply (Platform and account selector — scope your analytics).
- In Store & Business, also pick a store (defaults to "All stores").
- Set the date range and, if you want deltas, turn on compare to previous period.
- Click Edit to edit the KPI grid — add or remove cards via the picker — then Save layout (each view keeps its own layout).
- Click Export to download the active view's daily data as CSV or Excel (Export CSV / Excel from Analytics V2).
Common issues
- KPIs and charts don't change after picking accounts: the account cascade stages your choice; click Apply to commit it. Reopening the panel resets to the last applied selection.
- Store & Business KPIs are empty: no store is connected, or the store selector is scoped to a store without data. Connect a store and confirm the store selector.
- A delta is missing on a KPI card: "compare to previous period" is off, or the previous period has no data. Turn comparison on and pick a period that has history.
- Figures look off after connecting an account: data reflects the last sync. Wait for the sync to complete, then reload.
- You see the old widget-grid analytics: an administrator set
VITE_ANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED=falsefor an emergency rollback. V2 is the default and supported experience.
Best practices
Use the Advertising view for platform optimization
When the question is "how is Meta or TikTok performing?", the Advertising view gives you platform-attributed ROAS, CPM and CPA per account.
Use Store & Business for real return
Platform-reported ROAS tends to over-attribute. When you need the true picture, the Store & Business view's MER (store revenue ÷ total ad spend) and CPO (ad spend ÷ Shopify orders) are attribution-independent.
Save a KPI layout per view
Add the KPIs you review most, then Save layout. Each view keeps its own selection.
FAQ
What is Analytics V2 in Wevion?
Analytics V2 is the current version of Wevion's /analytics page. It organizes performance into two views — Advertising for platform-attributed paid metrics and Store & Business for blended MER-centric metrics that combine store revenue with ad spend. Both share one controls bar and a configurable KPI grid, and it is enabled by default via the ANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED flag.
What is the difference between the Advertising and Store & Business views?
The Advertising view shows paid-media metrics attributed by each ad platform, such as ROAS, CPM, CTR and CPA per account. The Store & Business view blends your Shopify store revenue with total ad spend to show attribution-independent metrics like MER, CPO, AOV and refunds, plus a site funnel. Use Advertising to optimize campaigns and Store & Business to judge real return.
How do I switch views in Wevion Analytics V2?
Use the mode toggle pill at the top left of the /analytics page. It switches between Advertising and Store & Business. Each view keeps its own KPI grid selection, and the Store selector only appears while you are in the Store & Business view.
Can I go back to the old analytics layout?
Analytics V2 is on by default. It is controlled by the ANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED flag, and an administrator can set VITE_ANALYTICS_V2_ENABLED=false to fall back to the legacy analytics page during an emergency rollback. For normal use, V2 is the supported experience.
