From trial to paid plan — what changes

Every new account gets a 14-day trial with full access. Starting the trial requires a card on file, but there's no charge during the 14 days. At day 14, if a card is on file (the normal case) your saved card is charged automatically and your plan starts — unless you cancel first. Only a trial with no card on file (a dormant, legacy path) drops to the Free plan at day 14. Stripe processes payments; plan changes are handled through the billing page.

Who is this for

Workspace owners and admins making the buy decision. Finance users may have financial/reporting visibility where enabled, but current billing self-service actions are guarded for owner/admin/super_admin.

What the trial includes

During the 14-day trial, full access to all features:

FeatureTrial limit
SeatsMultiple (check billing page for current allowance)
Ad accountsUnlimited
PlatformsAll supported (Meta, Google, TikTok, Taboola, Snapchat, Outbrain)
Campaign CreatorAll modes (Express + Pro)
Bulk LaunchYes
RulesYes, unlimited
Creative HubYes, includes an AI Credits allowance for trial generation
WavoYes
Cross-Channel AnalyticsYes
Ad spend trackedCapped (visibility of spend within Wevion — your actual ad spend with Meta etc. is uncapped, the cap applies only to tracking)

To start the trial you add a card, but nothing is charged during the 14 days. The card you save becomes your subscription's default payment method, and at day 14 it's charged automatically for your plan unless you cancel first.

What happens when the trial ends

What happens at day 14 depends on whether you subscribed early and whether a card is on file:

Path 1: You picked a plan during the trial

If you upgraded at any point during the trial, the trial ends silently. Your subscription continues uninterrupted on the chosen plan. The first charge happens on the day you picked the plan, the second 30 days later.

Path 2: You did nothing before day 14

  • Card on file (the normal case, since checkout requires a card to start the trial): at day 14 Stripe charges your saved card and your plan starts automatically — no interruption — unless you cancel before day 14. If you cancel during the trial, you're not charged and the subscription ends at day 14 (you can subscribe again anytime).
  • No card on file (a dormant, legacy no-card path): the trial cancels cleanly and your workspace moves to the Free plan — a usable, capped tier, not a read-only lockout.

In the Free-drop case:

  • You can still log in
  • You can still see dashboards, campaigns, and reports
  • You work within the Free plan's limits (fewer seats, lower quotas — check the billing page for the current Free allowance)
  • Existing campaigns continue running on the ad platforms (Wevion doesn't pause them)
  • For how long your data is retained after a trial expires, see the Terms of Service or contact support for the current policy
  • You can upgrade to a paid plan at any moment to restore full access

The plans

Wevion offers tiered plans: a Free tier, Starter (solo / small team), Pro (multi-platform, Rules + Bulk Launch + higher resource quotas), and PLUS (larger teams / quotas). Enterprise is negotiated separately with Sales — enterprise capabilities such as SSO/SAML, dedicated onboarding and CSM, custom contracts and SLAs are delivered on request as a dedicated configuration rather than a self-serve toggle in the app.

Each plan scales three dimensions:

  • Seats — number of team members
  • Monthly ad-spend cap — visibility limit on spend tracked through Wevion (over-cap is hidden in reports until next month). Your actual ad spend with Meta / Google / etc. is uncapped — they bill you separately
  • AI Credits — recurring weekly grant for AI generation and Wavo heavy actions (purchased credits don't expire)

For the current plan list, prices, and limits, see the live pricing at /settings/team/billing or the public pricing page on wevion.ai. Plans, prices, and limits may change — billing page is always the source of truth.

AI Credits: a recurring weekly grant consumed by Creative Hub AI generation and Wavo heavy actions. Credits you purchase separately don't expire.

How to pick a plan

Step 1: Open Billing

Click Settings → Team → Billing in the sidebar, or jump to /settings/team/billing. You see your current trial status, days remaining, and the plan picker.

Step 2: Compare and select

Each plan card shows features + price + monthly/annual toggle. Annual is typically 15-20% cheaper.

Step 3: Enter payment

Click Select [plan]. The Stripe-hosted checkout opens. Enter card details (or pay via SEPA / bank transfer for Enterprise). The first charge processes immediately.

Step 4: Confirmation

You see a confirmation screen with invoice number and a receipt sent to the billing email. Your workspace badge changes from Trial to the new plan name (Starter / Pro / Enterprise).

Upgrading mid-cycle

You can upgrade any time:

  • The new plan activates immediately
  • Stripe charges a prorated amount for the rest of the current cycle
  • Your billing date stays the same

Example: you're on Starter mid-cycle and upgrade to Pro. Stripe charges the difference (new monthly fee minus current monthly fee) prorated for the days remaining in the cycle. Next cycle you're billed the full Pro monthly fee on the same anniversary day.

Downgrading

Downgrades are processed through the current Stripe/change-plan service. In the current backend, price downgrades have guardrails such as cooldown and usage-limit checks; effective timing/proration should be verified against Stripe behavior before promising "next cycle".

If your usage exceeds the lower plan's limits at downgrade time (e.g. 10 seats but downgrading to Starter which allows 5), you must remove the excess before the cycle change. Wevion notifies you 7 days before.

Adding seats mid-plan

If you fill all seats on your current plan and need one more:

  • Option A: invite anyway — Wevion offers a per-seat add-on (prorated). Check the seat-pool meter in /settings/team/billing for the current add-on price
  • Option B: upgrade to the next plan tier (more seats included)

The seat add-on appears at the seat-pool meter in /settings/team/billing.

Canceling

Cancel anytime from billing if your role has billing access. For what happens to your access after cancellation and any deletion or reactivation window, see the Terms of Service or contact support for the current policy.

What you'll see

After choosing a plan:

  • Workspace badge changes from the trial countdown to the plan name
  • AI Credits meter reflects the plan's recurring weekly grant
  • Seat pool updates
  • An invoice arrives at the billing email
  • The trial countdown disappears from the header

Common issues

  • Card declined: most often expired card or 3DS challenge missed. Stripe sends a retry email with a payment link.
  • Charged in wrong currency: Stripe charges in the plan's listed currency (USD or EUR depending on your region detected at signup). Currency cannot be changed post-signup without Sales involvement.
  • Lost access right after upgrade: occasionally a 30-60 second delay between Stripe success and Wevion's webhook. Refresh after a minute.
  • Need a custom invoice / Net 30 terms: only Enterprise plan supports custom billing terms. Contact sales from the billing page.
  • Want to extend trial: contact support — extensions are possible for genuine evaluation cases, not for repeat trials of the same email.

FAQ

Do I need a credit card to start the Wevion trial?

Yes — a card is required to start the 14-day trial, but nothing is charged during those 14 days. The trial gives full access to all features including Campaign Creator, Bulk Launch, Rules, Creative Hub, Wavo, and Cross-Channel Analytics. The card you save becomes your subscription's default payment method: at day 14 it's charged automatically for your plan and your subscription starts, unless you cancel before then.

What happens if I do nothing before the trial ends?

Because checkout collects a card to start the trial, the normal case is a card on file: at day 14 Stripe charges it and your plan starts automatically, with no interruption — unless you cancel before day 14 (in which case you're not charged and the subscription ends). Only a legacy trial with no card on file drops to the Free plan, a usable capped tier where you keep logging in within Free's limits. Either way, existing campaigns keep running on the ad platforms — Wevion does not pause them — and you can subscribe or re-subscribe any time.

Does upgrading mid-cycle change my billing date?

No — when you upgrade mid-cycle in Wevion, the new plan activates immediately and your billing date stays the same. Stripe charges a prorated amount (the fee difference for the days remaining in the cycle). From the next cycle you're billed the full new plan fee on the same anniversary day.

Will my running ads stop when the trial ends?

No — your existing campaigns continue running on the ad platforms even after the trial ends, because Wevion doesn't pause them. Whether your plan starts automatically (card on file) or the workspace drops to Free (legacy no-card path), Meta, Google, and other platforms keep delivering and billing your live campaigns directly.

Can I extend my Wevion trial?

To extend your Wevion trial, contact support. Extensions are possible for genuine evaluation cases, but not for repeat trials of the same email. If you'd rather keep working without interruption, you can pick a paid plan at Settings → Team → Billing during the trial — the subscription then continues uninterrupted on the chosen plan.
