Invite your first team member

Open Settings → Team → People, click Invite, enter the teammate's email and pick a role, click Send. The invitee gets an email link (valid 7 days) and lands in the workspace as soon as they accept.

Who is this for

Owners and admins (the roles that can manage the team). The trial includes a starting seat allowance (shown at /settings/team/billing). Each invited person counts as 1 seat.

Before you start

You need:

  • The teammate's work email (the one they'll log in with)
  • A clear idea of their role (see Roles and permissions in 5 minutes)
  • A free seat (check at Settings → Team → Billing — current seats vs plan ceiling)

How to send the invite

Step 1: Open the People page

In the left sidebar, click Settings, then Team, then People. URL: /settings/team/people. You'll see a table of all current members with their role, joined date, and last login.

Step 2: Click Invite

The Invite button is at the top right. A dialog opens.

Step 3: Fill the invite form

The invite form has just two fields:

Step 4: Click Send

The invite is queued. You see a confirmation toast: "Invite sent to [email]". The invitee gets an email titled "You've been invited to join [workspace] on Wevion".

Step 5: They accept

The invitee clicks the link in the email. If they already have a Wevion account, they're added to your workspace and land on its dashboard. If they don't, they're guided through account creation first, then added.

The invite link is valid for 7 days. If it expires, the invitee sees a message asking them to request a new one — you can resend from the People page.

Choosing the right role

The invite dropdown offers four roles (admin and owner are not assignable at invite time):

Inviting several people

The invite form takes one email and one role at a time — there is no CSV or bulk-invite tab. To onboard a group, send an invite per person; each accepts through their own email link.

What you'll see

On the People page after sending:

  • A new row for the invited person with status Pending and a yellow badge
  • An action menu (three dots) with Resend invite and Revoke invite options
  • Once they accept, the badge turns green and shows Active with their last login time

In your seat counter at Settings → Team → Billing, a pending invite already consumes a seat. Revoking the invite frees the seat. This prevents accidental over-allocation.

Common issues

  • "Email already invited": the same email was invited recently. Check the People page for the existing pending invite and resend it instead.
  • "Email already invited or a member": the email already has a pending invite or belongs to a member. Check the People page and resend or manage the existing entry instead.
  • Invite email never arrives: ask the invitee to check spam and whitelist noreply@wevion.ai. If still nothing after 10 minutes, you can copy the invite URL from the People page action menu and send it directly.
  • "No free seats": upgrade your plan or remove an inactive member. See From trial to paid plan for adding seats.
  • They accepted but can't see anything: check their role — read-only roles (viewer/finance) see data but no edit actions. If they still see nothing, confirm the workspace has connected accounts with data.

Removing access later

To remove someone, open their row, click the action menu, select Remove from workspace. They lose access immediately. If they had access only to that workspace, the seat frees up. If they're in other workspaces, the seat stays consumed until removed from all.

FAQ

Where do I invite a team member in Wevion?

Open Settings → Team → People (/settings/team/people) and click the Invite button at the top right. A dialog opens with two fields: the teammate's work email and their role. Click Send and Wevion queues the invite, showing a confirmation toast once it's on its way.

A Wevion invite link is valid for 7 days. If it expires, the invitee sees a message asking them to request a new one, and you can resend it from the People page using the action menu on their row. The invitee clicks the link, and if they already have a Wevion account they land straight in the workspace dashboard.

Does a pending invite use up a seat?

Yes. In your seat counter at Settings → Team → Billing, a pending invite already consumes a seat, which prevents accidental over-allocation. Revoking the invite from the People page action menu frees the seat again. Each invited person counts as one seat regardless of how many workspaces you add them to.

Can I invite many people at once in Wevion?

Not in bulk. The invite form takes one email and one role at a time — there is no CSV import or bulk-invite tab. To onboard a group, send an invite per person from Settings → Team → People; each person accepts through their own email link.

What if the Wevion invite email never arrives?

Ask the invitee to check spam and whitelist noreply@wevion.ai. If nothing arrives after 10 minutes, you can copy the invite URL directly from the People page action menu and send it to them yourself. This bypasses email delivery entirely while still landing them in the correct workspace when they open the link.
