Notification center — staying informed

Click the bell icon in the header (top-right) to open the in-app notification panel. Items are grouped by category: Rules, Sync, Team, Billing, Security. Click any item to jump to its context. History retained 30 days. Security events always go to in-app + email regardless of your preferences.

Who is this for

Everyone who logs into Wevion regularly. New users should know the bell is there; experienced users should know how to triage the firehose efficiently.

The three notification channels

Wevion has three channels, each suited to a different urgency level:

ChannelAlways on?Best for
In-app (bell icon)Yes (cannot disable)Background awareness while in the app
Email digestConfigurable (daily / weekly / off)Summary of important events when away
Telegram botOpt-in per event typeReal-time alerts for time-sensitive events

For setup of email + Telegram see gs-115. To customize what gets sent per channel see team-116.

The bell icon

The bell lives in the top-right of the header on every page. It shows:

  • Number badge when you have unread notifications
  • Pulse animation for high-priority unread (security events, critical rule firings)
  • Empty (no badge) when everything is read

Click to open the notification panel as a side drawer.

Inside the panel

The panel is grouped into categories:

Rules

  • Rule fired (with action taken: paused, scaled, alerted)
  • Rule preview ready
  • Rule disabled due to error
  • Rule's target became unavailable (e.g. ad set deleted)

Click any item → opens the relevant Rules page or the affected campaign.

Sync

  • Ad-account sync completed
  • Ad-account sync failed (with error message)
  • New campaigns imported
  • Token refresh failed (action needed: reconnect)

Click any sync issue → opens /connect to investigate.

Team

  • Member invited (visible to admin)
  • Invite accepted (visible to inviter + admin)
  • Member removed
  • Role changed
  • Ownership transferred

Click any team event → opens People page filtered to the relevant user.

Billing

  • Invoice paid
  • Payment failed
  • Plan changed
  • Seat add-on purchased
  • Trial expiring soon (7d, 1d)
  • Renewal coming up (7d)

Click → opens /settings/team/billing.

Security

  • New login from unusual location
  • 2FA enabled / disabled
  • Password changed
  • API key created / revoked
  • Session revoked from another device
  • Impersonation session started (visible to target)

Click → opens /settings/personal/security or the audit log filtered to this event.

History and retention

  • Last 30 days of notifications are kept and visible
  • Items older than 30 days are removed from the panel (but the underlying audit log retains them for plan-defined duration — see team-113)
  • Mark all as read button at the top right of the panel
  • Read items remain visible but greyed out

The panel has:

  • Tabs: All, Unread, by category
  • Search: type to find a specific event ("paused campaign Q4-Sales")
  • Date filter: last 24h, last 7 days, last 30 days

For very long histories, use the audit log (team-113) instead — it has more filters and CSV export.

Security events cannot be silenced

Security-event delivery policy is code-owned. Verify current event definitions and delivery policy before promising forced in-app/email delivery for:

  • Login from a new device or unusual location
  • 2FA being disabled
  • API key creation
  • Impersonation of your account
  • Password change

If the current UI marks a security notification toggle as disabled, follow the tooltip. Do not assume all security toggles are forced-on without checking the current preference route/service.

Pulse animation triggers

The bell shows a pulse animation (not just a number badge) for:

  • Sync errors that may impact running campaigns
  • Rule firings with pause or destructive delete actions
  • Security events
  • Billing failures (past_due, declined)

Pulse means "look at this now if you can". Number-only badge means "review when convenient".

Per-event navigation

Each notification has a destination link:

EventGoes to
Rule firedRule detail page + execution history
Sync errorConnector card with Reconnect button
Member actionPeople page with filter applied
Invoice / paymentBilling page → Invoices tab
Security eventSecurity page or audit log

Click anywhere on the row — not just the link icon — to navigate.

Cross-device sync

Notifications are server-stored, not browser-local. Read state syncs across devices:

  • Read on phone → read on desktop
  • Mark all as read on one → all read everywhere

Mobile and tablet

The bell works on tablet (large enough touch target). On phone the panel slides up from the bottom instead of from the side. Most pages aren't fully optimized for phone, but checking notifications is.

What you'll see during normal use

A healthy active workspace generates roughly:

  • 5-20 notifications per day per user (mix of all categories)
  • 1-3 pulse-animation events per week (real attention needed)
  • 0-1 security events per month (most accounts have no concerning events)

If you see a sudden spike in any category, something has changed — investigate.

Common issues

  • Bell badge stuck on a number: open the panel, click "Mark all as read". If still stuck after refresh, contact support.
  • Missing a notification I expected: check filter (might be on "Unread only" hiding read items). Or check email if the notification was email-only.
  • Too many notifications: customize per-event in team-116. Common reduction: disable rule firings for notify-only rules.
  • Panel slow to load: large workspace, lots of events. Should still be < 2 seconds.
  • Click on notification doesn't navigate: the linked resource may have been deleted. Toast appears with the reason.
  • Security alert I don't recognize: investigate immediately — could be a real intrusion attempt. See team-114 incident response.

FAQ

How do I open the notification center in Wevion?

Click the bell icon in the top-right of the header on any page. Wevion opens the notification panel as a side drawer, grouping items into categories: Rules, Sync, Team, Billing, and Security. A number badge shows unread counts, and clicking any item jumps you straight to its context, such as the affected campaign or the Billing page.

What notification channels does Wevion offer?

Wevion has three channels: in-app (the bell icon, always on and cannot be disabled), email digest (configurable daily, weekly, or off), and the Telegram bot (opt-in per event type for real-time alerts). In-app is best for background awareness, email for summaries when you're away, and Telegram for time-sensitive events.

How long are in-app notifications kept?

Wevion keeps the last 30 days of notifications visible in the panel. Items older than 30 days are removed from the panel, though the underlying audit log retains them for your plan-defined duration. Use "Mark all as read" at the top of the panel; read items stay visible but greyed out.

What does the pulse animation on the bell mean?

The bell shows a pulse animation — rather than just a number badge — for events needing attention now: sync errors that may impact running campaigns, rule firings with pause or destructive delete actions, security events, and billing failures like past_due or declined. A number-only badge means review when convenient.
