Ad-tech acronyms

CPM | Cost Per Mille | Cost per 1.000 impressions. Reflects auction competition. |
CPC | Cost Per Click | Cost per ad click. |
CTR | Click-Through Rate | Clicks ÷ impressions, %. Creative resonance signal. |
ROAS | Return on Ad Spend | Revenue ÷ ad spend. >1.0 means revenue exceeds ad cost. |
CPL | Cost Per Lead | Cost per lead capture (lead-gen campaigns). |
LTV | Lifetime Value | Total revenue a customer brings over their relationship. |
AOV | Average Order Value | Revenue ÷ number of orders. |
ROI | Return on Investment | Profit ÷ total cost (broader than ROAS — includes non-ad costs). |
CBO | Campaign Budget Optimization | Single budget at campaign level, platform distributes across ad sets. |
ABO | Ad Set Budget Optimization | Separate budget per ad set, manual control. |
DSA | Digital Services Act | EU regulation requiring transparency fields on EU-targeted ads. |
GDPR | General Data Protection Regulation | EU privacy regulation affecting tracking and consent. |
UTM | Urchin Tracking Module | URL parameters that pass campaign info to your analytics. |
CAPI | Conversions API | Meta's server-side tracking, complement / alternative to the browser pixel. |
S2S | Server-to-Server | Tracking that fires from your server, not the browser (postback). |
KPI | Key Performance Indicator | Any metric you decided is important enough to track regularly. |
OAuth | Open Authorization | The standard way Wevion gets permission to access your ad accounts. |
Campaign structure
Term | What it is |

Campaign | Top-level container. Holds the objective (Sales, Traffic, ...) and the budget (if CBO). |
Ad set | Inside a campaign. Holds the audience (countries, age, interests), placements, schedule, and budget (if ABO). |
Ad | Inside an ad set. The actual creative (image / video) + copy + CTA + destination URL. |
Creative | The visual asset of an ad (image, video, carousel). Lives in Creative Hub when stored. |
Placement | Where the ad appears (Feed, Stories, Reels, Search, YouTube, etc.). |
Pixel | The tracking snippet installed on your site. Sends conversion events back to the ad platform. |
Catalog | Product feed used for dynamic ads in e-commerce. |
Product set | Filtered subset of a catalog. |
Audience | A set of targeting rules (country + age + interests) or a list of users (custom audience). |
Lookalike | Audience the platform builds to resemble a source audience (often: existing customers). |
Retargeting | Showing ads to people who already interacted with you (visited site, abandoned cart). |
Roles in Wevion

admin | Full control of a single workspace including settings and integrations. |
owner | Like admin, plus controls billing for the workspace. |
manager | Day-to-day operations and team management, no billing. |
mediabuyer | Launches and edits campaigns. |
finance | Read-only on performance + full billing access. |
viewer | Read-only across the workspace. |

Data and reporting terms
Term | What it means |

Attribution window | How long after an ad interaction a conversion can still be credited to that ad (e.g. 7-day click + 1-day view). |
Frequency | Average impressions per person. >4 typically signals creative fatigue. |
Reach | Distinct people who saw an ad (vs impressions which counts every showing). |
Conversion rate | Conversions ÷ clicks, %. Reflects landing-page + offer fit. |
Sync | Wevion's 15-minute pull of fresh data from each connected platform. |
Last sync | Timestamp shown on each connector card; how fresh the data is. |
