Using Creative Hub Files in Campaign Launcher

Last updated: April 18, 2026

The Creative Hub is your centralized media library in Wevion, backed by Google Drive. Instead of uploading the same images and videos every time you launch a campaign, you can browse your Creative Hub directly from the Campaign Launcher and attach files to your ads in seconds. This article walks you through the full workflow.

Prerequisites

How It Works

When you reach the creative step of campaign creation, each ad row has dedicated fields for Video and Image. Clicking either field opens the Creative Hub picker — a modal window that connects directly to your media library. You can browse folders, search by file name, preview assets, and select the file you want. Once selected, Wevion resolves a secure download URL behind the scenes and attaches it to your ad. When you publish, the platform downloads the file from Google Drive and uploads it to Meta on your behalf.

This means your creative workflow stays clean: upload once to Creative Hub, reuse across unlimited campaigns. No more digging through local folders or re-uploading the same assets.

The picker also supports direct upload — if you have a new file that is not yet in your library, you can drag and drop it into the picker or click the Upload button. The file is saved to your Creative Hub folder and immediately available for selection.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Start a Campaign

Navigate to the Campaign Launcher from the sidebar (under Ads Manager). Create a new campaign row or open an existing draft. Configure your campaign-level settings: select your Meta user, ad account, fan page, objective, and budget.

Step 2: Reach the Creative Step

Expand the Creative section by clicking the section header in the grid. This reveals the full set of ad-level fields: Post type, Ad Name, Catalog toggle, CTA, Video, Image, Landing URL, URL Parameters, Primary Text, Headline, and Description.

The Video and Image columns are where you attach your media. Each field shows a placeholder icon and text (e.g., "Select video..." or "Select image...") until a file is assigned.

Step 3: Select from Creative Hub

  1. Click the dropdown arrow on the Video or Image field for the ad you want to configure. The Creative Hub picker opens as a full-screen modal.

  2. Browse your folders. The picker displays your Creative Hub root folder. Navigate into subfolders by clicking them. A breadcrumb trail at the top shows your current location and lets you jump back to any parent folder.

  3. Filter by type. The picker automatically filters files based on the field you clicked:

    • If you clicked the Video field, only video files and folders are shown
    • If you clicked the Image field, only image files and folders are shown
  4. Search. Use the search bar in the top right to find files by name. The search filters the current folder view in real time.

  5. Select a file. Click any file to select it. The file gets a highlighted border, and its details appear in the preview panel on the right side of the modal.

  6. Upload a new file (optional). If the file you need is not yet in your Creative Hub:

    • Click the Upload button in the toolbar to open a file browser
    • Or drag and drop files directly into the picker area
    • Uploaded files are saved to the folder you are currently viewing
    • A progress bar shows upload status for large files

Step 4: Preview and Confirm

Before confirming your selection, review the file in the preview panel on the right:

  • Image files display a thumbnail preview at their full resolution
  • Video files display an embedded player with playback controls — you can play, pause, and scrub through the video directly in the picker
  • Below the preview, you can see the file's name, size, type (image or video), last modified date, and MIME type

Once you are satisfied with your selection, click the Select button at the bottom right of the modal. The picker closes, and the file is now attached to your ad:

  • The field in the grid shows a thumbnail and the file name
  • Wevion resolves a secure download URL in the background
  • When you publish the campaign, Wevion downloads the file and uploads it to Meta automatically

To remove an attached file, click the small X icon next to the file name in the grid cell. To replace it, click the dropdown arrow again and pick a different file.

Recommended Image and Video Sizes

Meta accepts a wide range of dimensions, but using the recommended sizes ensures your ads look sharp across all placements without unwanted cropping.

Images

Placement Aspect Ratio Recommended Size
Feed (square) 1:1 1080 x 1080 px
Feed (portrait) 4:5 1080 x 1350 px
Stories / Reels 9:16 1080 x 1920 px
Landscape 16:9 1920 x 1080 px
Right Column ~1.91:1 1200 x 628 px

Videos

Aspect Ratio Best For
9:16 (vertical) Stories, Reels, full-screen mobile placements
16:9 (landscape) In-stream video, desktop feed
1:1 (square) Feed placements across mobile and desktop

Tip: If you are running ads across multiple placements, prepare at least a 1:1 and a 9:16 version of your creative. You can attach both to the same campaign by creating separate ads within a single ad set — one with the square asset, one with the vertical asset. Meta will serve the best-fit version for each placement.

Tips for Better Ad Creatives

  1. Organize before you launch. Create folders in Creative Hub for each campaign, client, or product line. A well-organized library saves significant time when you need to find assets quickly.

  2. Name your files descriptively. Instead of IMG_4832.jpg, use names like summer-sale-hero-1080x1080.jpg. The picker search works on file names, so clear naming makes files easy to find. You can bulk-rename files directly in Creative Hub. Organizing Files

  3. Use AI-generated creatives. Creative Hub includes an AI generation tool that can produce videos, avatar presenters, text-to-speech audio, and composite creatives. Generate assets directly in your library, then select them in Campaign Launcher just like any other file.

  4. Preview before publishing. Always use the preview panel to verify you have the right file. A wrong creative attached to the wrong ad is a common and costly mistake.

  5. Leverage A/B testing. In bulk campaigns, create multiple ad rows within the same ad set, each with a different creative. Wevion lets you attach a different image or video to each ad, making it easy to test which visual performs best under identical audience conditions.

  6. Keep file sizes reasonable. While Wevion supports uploads up to 500 MB per file, smaller files upload and process faster. For images, keep files under 10 MB. For videos, aim for under 100 MB when possible — compress before uploading if needed.

  7. Reuse existing posts when appropriate. If you have an organic post with strong engagement, consider promoting it as-is using the "Existing Post" option instead of re-uploading the creative. This preserves all social proof (likes, comments, shares). Creating Ad Creatives

FAQ

Q: Do I need to upload files to Creative Hub before using them in Campaign Launcher? A: Not necessarily. You can upload files directly from within the Creative Hub picker during campaign creation. However, pre-uploading and organizing your files beforehand makes the campaign creation process much faster, especially for bulk launches.

Q: Can I use the same file across multiple campaigns? A: Yes. Selecting a file from Creative Hub does not move or copy it — it simply references the file. You can use the same image or video across as many campaigns as you like.

Q: What file formats are supported? A: For images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. For videos: MP4 is the most reliable format. The picker filters files based on their MIME type, so only compatible files appear when you open it from a Video or Image field.

Q: I uploaded a file but cannot see it in the picker. What should I do? A: Make sure you are browsing the correct folder. The picker opens to your root Creative Hub folder by default. If you uploaded the file to a subfolder, navigate into that folder. You can also use the search bar to find files by name. If the file was just uploaded, wait a few seconds and the list will refresh automatically.

Q: Can team members use each other's files? A: Owners and super admins can browse all team members' folders in Creative Hub. Standard media buyers can only see their own files. If you need to share a file with a colleague, ask your team owner to access it, or use the folder sharing feature. Team Folders Sharing Your Folder

Q: What happens to my ad if I delete a file from Creative Hub after publishing? A: Nothing happens to the published ad. When you publish, Wevion downloads the file and uploads it directly to Meta. After that, the Meta copy of the file is independent of your Creative Hub. Deleting the original from Creative Hub will not affect running ads.

Q: The Video and Image fields are grayed out. Why? A: The creative media fields are disabled in two scenarios: (1) you have enabled the Use Existing Post toggle on that ad — existing posts carry their own media, so no separate upload is needed; or (2) you have enabled the Catalog toggle — catalog ads pull creative automatically from your product catalog. Disable the relevant toggle to re-enable the media fields.

Q: Can I select multiple files at once for A/B testing? A: The picker selects one file at a time per ad row. To A/B test multiple creatives, add additional ad rows within the same ad set (using the + button), then attach a different file to each ad.
