Telegram Bot Commands

The @wevion_bot on Telegram supports several commands for managing your connection and getting quick status updates.

Prerequisites

How It Works

You interact with @wevion_bot by sending commands in your Telegram chat with the bot. Commands start with a / character and can be sent at any time.

Available Commands

/start

Purpose: Initiate the bot or link your Wevion account.

Usage:

  • /start — Opens the bot and shows a welcome message
  • /start YOUR_LINK_TOKEN — Links your Telegram account using the token from Wevion

Example:

/start abc123def456

Response: "Account linked successfully! You'll now receive notifications based on your preferences."

/status

Purpose: Check your connection status and see a quick summary of your account.

Usage: /status

Response includes:

  • Whether your account is linked
  • Your Telegram username on file
  • Notification preferences summary (how many alert types are enabled)

/stats

Purpose: Get a quick performance summary.

Usage: /stats

Response includes: A summary of your current performance, including today's spend, active campaigns, and key metrics.

/unlink

Purpose: Disconnect your Telegram account from Wevion.

Usage: /unlink

What happens:

  • Your Telegram account is unlinked from Wevion
  • All notifications stop immediately
  • Your notification preferences are preserved in Wevion (if you relink later, they'll be restored)
  • You can relink at any time by generating a new token in Wevion

/help

Purpose: Show a list of available commands with descriptions.

Usage: /help

Response: Lists all available commands and their descriptions.

Step-by-Step Guide

Checking If You're Connected

  1. Open your Telegram chat with @wevion_bot
  2. Send /status
  3. The bot will respond with your connection status
  4. If not linked, follow the steps in Connecting Telegram for Real-Time Alerts

Relinking After Unlink

  1. Send /unlink to @wevion_bot (if currently linked)
  2. Go to Wevion > Telegram settings
  3. Click Link Telegram Account to get a new token
  4. Send /start YOUR_NEW_TOKEN to @wevion_bot
  5. The bot confirms the new link

FAQ

What happens if I send a command without being linked? The bot will respond that your account is not linked and provide instructions for linking.

Can I send regular text messages to the bot? The bot only responds to recognized commands. Regular text messages are ignored.

Are commands case-sensitive? No. /Status, /STATUS, and /status all work the same way.

Can I use these commands in a group chat? The bot is designed for private chats. Commands in group chats may not work as expected.

How do I stop all notifications without unlinking? Turn off all alert types in Wevion's Telegram Preferences (see Customizing Notification Preferences). This way you stay linked and can re-enable alerts later without going through the linking process again.
