Uploading Files — Images, Videos, and Documents
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Upload your creative assets — images, videos, documents, and design files — directly into Wevion's Creative Hub. All files are stored securely in Google Drive and are instantly available for use across your campaigns.
Prerequisites
Before uploading files, make sure you have:
- An active Wevion account with access to the Creative Hub
- At least Media Buyer role or higher
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari)
No additional Google Drive setup is needed — Wevion provisions your folder automatically.
Supported File Types
Wevion accepts any file type that Google Drive supports. The most common file types used by media buyers include:
Images
- JPEG / JPG — Standard format for ad creatives and photos
- PNG — Best for graphics with transparency (logos, overlays)
- WebP — Lightweight format increasingly supported by ad platforms
- GIF — Animated creatives and short loops
Videos
- MP4 — Recommended format for video ads (H.264 codec)
- MOV — Common export format from professional editing software
- AVI, WebM — Supported alternatives
Documents and Design Files
- PDF — Briefs, style guides, approval documents
- PSD, AI — Source design files for collaboration
Tip: While Wevion accepts virtually any file type, we recommend using MP4 for videos and JPEG or PNG for images when uploading assets intended for Meta ad campaigns.
Upload Limits
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Maximum file size | 500 MB per file |
| Maximum files per upload | 10 files at a time |
If you need to upload more than 10 files, simply repeat the upload process. There is no daily upload cap within Wevion.
Step-by-Step Guide
Method 1: Upload Button
- Navigate to Creative Hub from the left sidebar.
- Open the folder where you want your files to land. If you want them in the root directory, stay on the main Creative Hub screen.
- Click the Upload button in the top toolbar.
- A file browser dialog opens. Select one or more files (hold Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac to select multiple files).
- Click Open to start the upload.
- A progress bar appears for each file. Wait for all uploads to complete.
- Your files appear in the file list immediately after upload finishes.
Method 2: Drag and Drop
- Navigate to Creative Hub and open the destination folder.
- Open your computer's file manager (Finder on Mac, File Explorer on Windows) and locate the files you want to upload.
- Select the files (up to 10) and drag them onto the file area in Creative Hub.
- A visual drop zone indicator appears, confirming Wevion is ready to receive your files.
- Release the mouse button to start the upload.
- Monitor the progress bars and wait for completion.
Tip: Drag and drop is the fastest method when you already have your files visible in a folder on your desktop. It saves the extra step of navigating through the file browser dialog.
Upload Progress
When files are uploading, Wevion displays a real-time progress indicator:
- File name and percentage complete are shown for every file in the batch
- A progress bar fills as the upload advances
- Once a file reaches 100%, it is confirmed as uploaded and appears in your file list
- For video files, Wevion automatically generates a thumbnail preview after the upload completes — this may take a few additional seconds depending on the video length and resolution
You can continue browsing other sections of Wevion while files upload. However, do not close the browser tab until all uploads are complete, or the in-progress files will be lost.
Where Files Are Stored
Every file you upload through Wevion is stored in your Google Drive, inside the folder structure you have set up in Creative Hub:
- If you upload from the root of Creative Hub, files go to your top-level personal folder.
- If you upload from within a subfolder, files go directly into that subfolder.
- Files are immediately available in both Wevion and Creative Hub after upload.
This means your assets are always backed up in cloud storage and accessible from anywhere.
Tips for Organizing Uploads
Good file organization saves significant time when managing dozens of campaigns. Here are proven practices from experienced media buyers:
Create a folder per campaign or client — Before uploading, set up a clear folder structure (e.g.,
Client Name / Campaign Name / 2026-03). Upload directly into the right folder to avoid reorganizing later. Organizing Files — Folders, Rename, MoveUse descriptive file names — Name files before uploading.

Separate source files from final assets — Keep PSD/AI source files in a dedicated "Source Files" subfolder. Upload only production-ready assets (JPEG, PNG, MP4) to your campaign folders.
Upload videos in MP4 format when possible — MP4 with H.264 encoding provides the best compatibility with Meta's ad platform and generates reliable thumbnail previews in Wevion.
FAQ
Can I upload files larger than 500 MB? No. The maximum file size per upload is 500 MB. If you have a video file that exceeds this limit, compress it using a tool like HandBrake or Adobe Media Encoder before uploading.
What happens if my upload is interrupted? If your browser tab closes or your internet connection drops during upload, the incomplete files are not saved. You will need to re-upload them. Completed files in the same batch are not affected.
Can I upload to a team member's folder? If you are an Owner or Super Admin, you can navigate to any team member's folder and upload files there. Media Buyers can only upload to their own folder.
Do uploaded videos play directly in Wevion? Yes. Videos stream directly inside Wevion with full playback controls, including seeking. Wevion also generates a thumbnail preview automatically so you can identify videos at a glance in the file list.
Is there a limit on total storage? Wevion does not impose a total storage cap. Your storage is backed by Google Shared Drive with no per-user or per-team limit.
Can I upload the same file twice? Yes. Wevion does not block duplicate uploads. The file will be stored as a separate copy. To avoid clutter, check your folder before uploading.
