Delete your Wevion account

Account deletion is permanent data erasure, distinct from cancellation. Cancel first (acc-105) to stop billing, then request deletion via support@wevion.ai with the workspace owner email. Deletion is GDPR-aligned and irreversible.

Who is this for

Workspace owners who want to permanently remove all data from Wevion — for compliance, brand exit, or just clean-out. Also for anyone confused about the difference between "cancel" and "delete".

Stops billing. Workspace shifts to read-only at period end. Data retained for 30 days, then scheduled for deletion automatically.

Delete

Permanently erases all data immediately (with a verification grace period). Cannot be reversed.

If you just want to stop paying, cancel is enough — automatic deletion follows 30 days later if you don't reactivate.

If you need immediate permanent erasure (legal hold release, brand exit, compliance with a Right to Erasure request), request deletion.

What gets deleted

  • The workspace entity

  • All ad data: campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, audiences

  • Performance data: insights, analytics history

  • Connected ad accounts' linkage (the accounts themselves stay on Meta/Google/TikTok — Wevion just disconnects)

  • Rules engine configurations

  • Creative Hub assets (uploaded files + AI generations)

  • Wavo conversation history

  • Custom integrations (Telegram bot pairings, custom audiences)

  • Team membership records (members removed from the workspace; if they're in other workspaces, those remain)

  • Invitation history

  • Webhooks and API tokens

What is NOT deleted (legal hold)

Some records must be retained for legal/tax/audit reasons:

  • Invoices: retained for 10 years for tax compliance (in most jurisdictions)

  • Payment records on Stripe: retained per Stripe's policy

  • Audit logs: retained per the audit retention policy (typically 18 months or contract-defined for Enterprise)

  • Anonymized aggregate metrics: usage statistics may be retained anonymized (not linked to you)

  • Backup snapshots: standard backups may retain copies for up to 30 days post-deletion

If you have specific legal requirements (e.g. complete erasure including invoices), discuss with support — some retention is regulatory and not waivable, but we'll explain exactly what's retained and why.

How to request deletion

Step 1: Cancel your subscription first

Follow cancel your subscription. This stops billing and starts the 30-day read-only window.

You can also delete without canceling (if you're on trial or already canceled), but canceling first is the cleanest path.

Step 2: Email support

Send to support@wevion.ai:

Subject: Account deletion request — [workspace name]

Hi,

I am the owner of workspace [name] (URL: app.wevion.ai/workspaces/[id-if-you-know-it]) and I request permanent deletion of this workspace and all associated data.

Owner email: [your-email-on-file] Subscription status: [canceled / active / trial-expired] Reason for deletion: [optional, e.g. "brand decommissioning" or "GDPR right to erasure"]

I understand:

  • This action is permanent and irreversible.

  • Some records (invoices, payment data) are retained per tax/legal regulations.

  • The 30-day grace period before automated deletion can be skipped at my request, taking effect within [N] business days.

Step 3: Support verifies ownership

Support replies asking you to confirm by:

  • Replying from the email registered as the workspace owner

  • (Optional) Providing additional verification (e.g. the last invoice number)

This step prevents accidental deletion or malicious requests from compromised accounts.

Step 4: Deletion scheduled

After verification, support schedules deletion. By default:

  • Within 30 days of confirmation (gives you a final window to change your mind)

  • Sooner on request (e.g. "execute within 5 business days" for urgent compliance cases)

  • Immediately on Enterprise with custom DPA terms

You receive a confirmation email with the scheduled deletion date.

Step 5: Final confirmation email

24 hours before scheduled deletion, support sends a final reminder:

Subject: Final notice — account deletion scheduled for [date]

If you want to cancel this deletion request, reply STOP within 24 hours.

If you don't reply STOP, deletion proceeds.

Step 6: Deletion executes

On the scheduled date:

  • The workspace and all data are permanently deleted from Wevion's primary databases

  • A final email confirms execution

  • Standard backup retention applies (30 days for backups, then they're purged on rotation)

GDPR right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

If you're an EU/EEA resident or your company is processed by Wevion under GDPR:

  • You have the legal right to request erasure of personal data

  • Wevion processes valid requests within 30 days (legally mandated maximum)

  • Wevion will explain any data that must be retained (e.g. invoices for tax compliance) and the legal basis for retention

The deletion request flow above satisfies GDPR Article 17 requirements.

What you'll see after deletion

  • Cannot log in to the deleted workspace (URL returns 404 or "Workspace not found")

  • Your personal user account survives if you're a member of other workspaces; otherwise it's also deleted

  • Any old exports or local copies you saved are not affected (those are yours)

  • Past invoices remain accessible via Stripe Customer Portal (Wevion no longer surfaces them)

What about my personal Wevion account?

If you're a member of multiple workspaces:

  • Deleting a workspace removes that workspace only

  • Your personal account stays active; you can still log in to other workspaces

  • To delete your personal account entirely (you're a member of no workspaces), email support — same flow as above

Common questions

  • "Can I export my data first?": Yes — before requesting deletion, export reports, audit logs, creative assets, anything you need. Use Settings → Team → Export data if available, or contact support for a bulk export.

  • "What about my published ads on Meta / Google?": Untouched. Those live on the ad platforms. Deleting Wevion only removes Wevion's records.

  • "Can I delete just a workspace, not my account?": Yes — that's the typical case. The request specifies which workspace.

  • "Can I un-delete?": No, deletion is permanent. The 30-day scheduled grace + 24h final notice gives you windows to cancel.

  • "How long until I'm completely gone from all backups?": Standard backup rotation is 30 days. After that, no copies exist anywhere in Wevion's systems.

  • "Does deletion stop Stripe charges?": Cancel first. Deletion alone doesn't cancel — request both.
